How a company starts

The company downloads Private Radio and starts a monthly subscription. That subscription creates the company’s radio.

• $2.99 CAD / month for 20 people, $9.99 CAD / month for 100 people, or $19.99 CAD / month for 300 people
• The company receives a short join code, 3 to 6 letters, such as ABC or XYZ
• The company gives the code to employees
• Employees type only the code
• One person can run more than one company and switch between them

An employee enters the company code, and once they are in they set their own name, such as Cop 1, Driver 2, Pilot 3, or anything they want.

The company account that pays is the admin. The payer can add a person, delete a person who left, or replace that person with someone new. Replacing fills the same seat. The radio never goes over 20, 100, or 300 people.

Mac: the DMG or PKG is a signed installer. It removes the previous Private Radio app, you pick the disk, enter your admin password, then Finish opens Private Radio. iPhone and iPad have no website installer. Apple does not allow a public website package to install on iPhone or iPad. Build 8 (version 1.0.0) is the current build for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Open the TestFlight app and sign in with an Apple ID that was given access in App Store Connect. Apple Watch is not included.

How the radio works

Each radio is private to the company that subscribes to it. The seat cap is the plan they subscribe to.

• Channels are 1 through 99 only
• People in the same company may sit on different channels at the same time
• A different company has its own join code
• Company A’s channel 7 is not Company B’s channel 7
• The seat cap is enforced: 20 people, 100 people, or 300 people, on that radio only

The payer can name channels. Channels stay 1 to 99. Channel 10 can be named Kitchen, channel 1 can be Floor 1, and channel 2 can be Floor 2. Each company’s names stay on that company’s radio only.
