Guitar Tuner is a tuner for guitar, bass, and piano on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This page is the privacy policy linked from the app and from TestFlight. Shafi App Co does not sell personal information. Guitar Tuner does not show ads and does not use third-party tracking.

Microphone

Guitar Tuner uses the microphone to hear a note and show how sharp or flat it is. The sound is analyzed on the device. It is not uploaded, it is not stored as a recording, and it is not sent to Shafi App Co. You can turn the microphone off for Guitar Tuner in iOS or macOS Settings.

Reference tone

The app can play a reference tone on the device so you can match a pitch. That tone stays on the device.

Account

Guitar Tuner does not ask you to make a Shafi App Co account, and it does not ask for your name or email address.

Free week, purchase, and redeem code

The first week is free. The date that week started, and whether the app is unlocked, are stored in the Keychain on that device. Reinstalling the app does not start a new free week.

After the week, you can pay once through Apple or enter a redeem code. Payment is handled by Apple. Shafi App Co does not receive your card number. The redeem code is checked on the device.

What stays on the device

Tuning choices, the A4 reference, and the license state stay on the device. Guitar Tuner does not use those to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party ad tracking.

How to stop

Turn the microphone off in Settings, or delete the app. Deleting the app removes Guitar Tuner from that device. The Keychain item that remembers the free week and the unlock can remain so a reinstall does not grant another free week.
