Remote Yiewer Privacy Policy
Remote Yiewer is made by Sarwari Kamran. It is for teachers and students, stores, workshops, training rooms, clinic front desks, families, and similar places where someone needs to see a Mac screen and look closer.
A phone, iPad, or Windows PC only watches. It does not click, type, or move the pointer. This page covers the Mac app, the iPhone and iPad app, and the Windows viewer.
The number and PIN
The Mac app keeps one permanent 8-character number. You choose a 4-digit PIN on that Mac. A viewer needs both. The secret that proves which Mac it is stays on that Mac. Reinstalling the Mac app does not replace that number.
What a connection records
When the Mac or a viewer connects, the relay records the connection’s IP address, city, region, country, postal code, time zone, network location, computer name, Mac model, and the viewer device name. It also records each try to connect, whether that try reached the Mac, and how long a successful connection lasted.
What is not kept
The live desktop picture is forwarded while you are connected. It is not stored. Viewers do not send mouse, keyboard, or pointer actions. Remote Yiewer does not record the screen for later and does not control the Mac.
Who can watch
The viewer needs the Mac’s number and the PIN chosen on that Mac. A number without the matching PIN is refused.
